About Informatix Software International

Informatix Software International Limited was founded in 1997 to develop software for the architectural, engineering, construction, and facility management industries. This British based company sells in 70 countries around the world from its head office in Cambridge, UK. With its roots firmly in the 2D and 3D software arena over the last decade Informatix have further developed their software portfolio to provide solutions to extend far beyond the demands of the initial architectural stages through to managing the entire building lifecycle. From the original concept and built stages through to the occupation and management of the building Informatix solutions provides the structure to bring your ideas to life and aid in the continual development of them for many years after the initial build.

MicroGDSConcept – presenting original sketches and conceptual designs to win more business is the simple but key goal of the concept stage. With Google SketchUp, MicroGDS 2010 and Piranesi you can, in a fully integrated manner, create the model, render it and even paint your own artist impression of your concept in order to win over the client. In addition you are safe in the knowledge that this work, when surrounded by our superb DWG, DWF and DXF and OS Mastermap tools, can be transparently used for years into the future.

Built – collaboration to optimise timescales, meet quality promises, and guarantee margins is the simple but key goal of the built stage. Using the superb “Project Collaborator” and “Project Status” functionality of MicroGDS 2010 ensures that everyone, whether the Architectural Team members, HVAC, Structural Engineering or the Materials Supply Chain  can work on the same project concurrently without compromising integrity, quality or accuracy. And, of course, as guided by IFC standards.

Occupied – transfer of data sets that show how the building works, what infrastructure is contained within the building, where everything is located, when it needs maintenance, and what part codes are in use, is essential for a successful project handover. Informatix Facilities Management, with interoperability and collaboration in mind, offers CAD and non-CAD users alike an easy access to the FM space.

Managed - now the building has become a living form -it has people, assets, office and retail space, kitchens, meeting rooms, PC's, printers, photo copiers - the building has now evolved. Informatix Facilities Management allows companies to manage every element of the building, ensuring that everything from maintenance checks on the lifts through to carrying out security checks on staff and interfacing with the HR and payroll system, can be achieved. Every piece of data about an object, person or resource can be linked to the core building project - graphically displaying relevant elements for each department or function at the click of a mouse.

If there is an area that is missing from the product set Informatix also provide a MicroGDS Application Development Kit so that our customers are free to customise the product to their specific requirements either themselves or with the help of our highly trained team of developers.
